A local tumescent solution will be infused during the procedure to numb the area, for little or no discomfort felt by the patient.  A small incision is made in the fold under the breast and the implant is placed underneath the pectoral muscle, for a more natural look.  This will not interfere with breast feeding or mammograms.

 

The patient will need to take a few days away from work or strenuous activities.
